I feel that all children have the capacity to learn but may not always thrive in a typical classroom setting. They may feel lost or intimidated in a large class and are not able to speak up and express their questions or concerns. Individualized attention through tutoring can give the child confidence in the classroom, but also in everyday life. Trained as an Chemical Engineer at the University of Missouri with emphasis on math,chemistry and statistics. I have been a substitute in middle and high school amounting to 2 years. I have trained in industrial venues and led training over 7 years in quality and manufacturing.

It has been my experience that each student has his/her individuals needs and that each learns differently. Thus, I make a conscious effort to sit down privately with each of my students so that we can address his/her concerns effectively and put together a constructive plan to improve his/her skill set.
As a tutor with Webster University's student literacy corps, I worked with individuals, pre-K-adult, on reading, literacy, and writing skills. I held this position for two years along with a summer position tutoring Algebra and French with HEC Upward Bound, which service at-risk youth. I found both programs extremely enjoyable and found that all of my students were eager to learn and improve their skill set.
