My comments on tutoring Study Skills : I learned study skills when I was a lot younger, before my older brother started junior high school. I know the best ways to maximize what you learn in the shortest period of time.

When I am tutoring others, I have a very hands on approach. I may offer help and hints, but I don't give away answers, I make people work for their grades. I try to make things interesting or entertaining when I'm tutoring, just so people don't get bored.

My own learning style is more visual and hands-on, but I know that some children can learn by repetition and memorization, and if that's what works, then I'll adjust to fit that particular child's needs.
