I am an award-winning journalist and editor with 10 years of experience. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor's degree in journalism. I also concentrated on English, political science and history while in school. While in college, I was the teaching assistant for advanced reporting and advanced editing, two capstone classes for a bachelor's degree. My teaching style is one of discipline and at the same time hands-on. Students must feel the relevance of the world around them in order to gain an understanding of what's being taught. I work with the individual but never let the focus off of the competition that's waiting. Students must understand that learning is an every day, every moment experience. A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate student, I taught beginning and intermediate German language classes for 4 semesters, receiving above average evaluations each semester. Even after I had completed my Masters program, I was asked by the Foreign Language Department to return for the summer semesters to teach as a lecturer. As a Microsoft Office Master Instructor I taught MS Office applications, as well as basic VBA programming and Project Management to adults of all experience levels.
