A Little Bit About Me...

My B.A. is in History and Social Behavioral Science. This encompasses Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Economics and Political Science. After graduating second in my class with a 3.9 GPA, I started working for the Art Institute of Chicago. During the last five years, I have worked with children of all ages and at all developmental levels. I also have been responsible for grading coursework in all subjects in the classroom. In addition I have developed lesson plans for small groups. I tutored college level students in Spanish as part of my work study. A Little Bit About Me...

As a very creative person myself, I strive to bring that creativity to my teaching. I am always looking for new and exciting ways to present a lesson to my students. I believe students should be fully engaged in what they are learning as often as possible, and not just passively listening to a lecture. I bring an energetic approach to teaching that is often filled with humor, though I am never condescending to a student.
