I like to share my passion that comes from the pure enjoyment of understanding a subject and sharing this passion with my students. As an engineer I try to show the practical application of concepts, and from my interests in history and literature I try to provide an historical context to the development of the concept being taught. I believe in the innate ability of all students to learn, although of course not all learn at the same pace - I believe the key is to relate the subject matter to the student's life experiences and thus make the connection where learning is possible.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent college graduate from George Fox University. While attending G.F.U I had the opportunity to work for C.S. Lewis Elementary school in Newberg, Oregon as their Physical Education teacher. I loved working with children, and making my own lesson plans. The school allowed myself to work on my own lesson plans, and teach the children not only fitness but valuable exercise, and nutritional facts. I have also had the opportunity to work as a private tutor overseas in Germany, and Spain. This was an amazing experience, tutoring and learning. Being a college graduate I have had extensive work in reading and essay comprehension. I would love the opportunity to tutor again!
