There are so many things that can be learned in the field of graphic design; therefore, my teaching style is to teach you how to "learn how to learn". Software and skills are constantly updated and outdated so learning how to acquire knowledge, skills or software is key. I also like to make it as fun as I can and teach at the speed the student is willing to learn.
I have a Bachelors and Masters Degree in graphic design and have also worked in the graphic design field for over 5 years. My experience includes designing for medical schools, non-profits, athletic facilities, the state government, and also freelance work. During graduate school, I was an instructor for beginning graphic design classes for college students.

My personal style of learning is to learn by doing. I get my students involved in any process and get them to actually do the work so they learn it from experience, not just reading about it and taking for granted they know what is going on. Seeing the steps in action and seeing the final result brings a sense of accomplishment, which helps a student learn the correct way of doing whatever it is they are trying to learn.
I have lead many training sessions dealing with a multitude of different topics. I do my homework, and make sure I am fully prepared before any training session. I want to make sure I know the answers to any possible question before the questions are asked.
