As an editor working with young writers and as a college professor teaching students, I have spent most of my adult life passing on writing, communication and reading comprehension skills to young people. I enjoy it. I enjoy it because it matters. Writing is a lifelong skill. The ability to comprehend information and communicate clearly can make the difference in passing a class, getting into college or getting a job. My teaching style depends on the person I am working with and the subject matter we are exploring. Everyone learns differently and that needs to be respected and appreciated. My entire background revolves around teaching. I taught in a Preschool while I was working on my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. While there I worked with all ages from Infants to the School Age children. After completing my degree I then went to teach in a public school.
