nicole d. - Rochester, NY 14616 (44.6 mi) - Ballet Tutor - $35.00/hr.
After receiving my BFA in Dance from the University at Buffalo, I got my first professional dancing gig with Carnival Cruise Lines. I did 4 8 month contracts with Carnival, and 1 contract with Princess Cruises traveling to Mexico, Eastern & Western Caribbean, Australia, and the Polynesian Islands. After my time at sea, I was selected to be a full time character/parade performer for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fl. You may have seen me in "Trolley" "Celebrate the Season" "Disney's Electrical Parade" "Hoedown Happening" "Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade" and "Countdown to Fun Parade." After a full year of performing in the parks, I was asked to go on tour with Feld Entertainment's "Phineas and Ferb the Best Live Tour Ever!" Where I portrayed the role of "Milly" the Fireside Girl. I was asked to rejoin tour this summer as the role of dancer/tumbler.

Lauren S - Batavia, NY 14020 (23.9 mi) - Ballet Tutor - $48.50/hr.
I have always loved working with children and helping them grow as a person. I am patient, passionate and enthusiastic when helping children. I actively engage each student through the use of manipulatives, technology and fun hands on learning activities to fit each student’s individual needs. I believe that each student has the potential to learn and I will strive to meet each student’s goals and needs. As a graduate of Pfeiffer University in North Carolina, I have been blessed to work with students of all grade levels. I received my BA in Elementary Education grades K-6. Having a degree in elementary education has really helped me expand my knowledge in all subject areas. I have learned through my four years of education different materials, techniques and hands on experiences to help students retain information.

Eleanor J - Pittsford, NY 14534 (42.1 mi) - Ballet Tutor - $45.50/hr.
As someone who was enthralled with literature and learning at a young age, I truly enjoy guiding young people through their learning processes. I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn whatever interests them; I also believe that there are as many ways to learn as there are people in the world. As a tutor, I aspire to understand each child and his or her learning needs. Above all, I am very firm about reducing the stress levels that are often a by-product of classroom learning today. Children learn best when they are enjoying something, not when they feel put-upon to find the right answer. As a tutor, I am patient, supportive, and innovative. • As a NESCAC undergraduate, I explored many areas of study. In addition to earning a BA in English and American Literature while completing a minor in African Studies, I also became fluent in French through study, travel, and teaching. My

Paula W - Rochester, NY 14622 (46.3 mi) - Ballet Tutor - $50.00/hr.
I like working with children. They are so appreciative and excited when they learn and figure out a new word or anything. I am easy going and very supportive. GIven a good learning atmosphere, good support, encouragement and enthusiasm and children can learn. Everyone learns in different ways; in a one-on-one situation that can be discovered and lessons designed to best help the child. I finished my degree by going to summer and night school; I graduated in 1979. I was the first in my family to go to college and I am very proud of that. I have become a much better writer and am much more aware of grammar through writing reports, technical papers and SOPs. For a couple of years I volunteered for Literacy Volunteers because of my love of reading.
