A Little Bit About Me...

I have always valued education. I can remember comparing grades and discussing what we learned in class as early as 2nd grade. We had a healthy competitive spirit that helped us grown into productive adults. I first began tutoring in an afterschool program in 1995. I have always loved assisting students with learning. I have even considered getting my teaching certification. I currently have my MBA in Business management and feel most comfortable teaching math reading and English to children ages 5-12.

I am a very participative facilitator. I like to actively engage the students with the subject matter at hand, bringing into the discussion real world experiences and tapping into the experiences of the students in order to "bring the message home". I first seek to understand the students' goals and objectives, strengths and weaknesses and go from there.
