I believe all children can learn, but that all children learn differently. Having taught special education, I had a range of grade levels in my class. Very often the students would be spread out over three grade levels. Because of this, I am extremely good at tailoring my instruction to different levels and learning types. I try many different approaches to cater to different learning styles. Ultimately, I choose the method based on it's success and also how much the student enjoys it. I earned a bachelor of science degree in Adolescent/Young Adult English/Language Arts Education from Miami University in December 2008. I then taught tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade English for six months, from January to June 2009. During the 2009-2010 school year I have been substitute teaching in both middle and high school. I am currently in a freshman English classroom for seven weeks while the full-time teacher is out on maternity leave and I will be in an eighth grade English classroom for seven weeks for another maternity leave until the end of the school year.
