I utilize elements of each of the five teaching styles; however, I prefer the I Do, We Do, You Do style of learning. I firmly believe in providing clear instruction and demonstration of each concept. Then, the student and I work together to master a concept. After that, I provide the student an opportunity to practice and demonstrate his/her mastery of the material in a variety of situations. If the student still needs help, I reteach. I believe in positive reinforcement. Every student can succeed. No one succeeds if he/she feels unimportant or unsuccessful. Attitude is as essential to success as a mastery of content.

As the valedictorian of my high school class, I know that all children have the ability to achieve their highest level of education with proper mentoring, coaching and training. All children deserve a healthy start in school and life. I enjoy assisting children with English, research papers, reading and creative writing, and science. My preference is children who are in elementary to middle school.
I truly appreciate helping children, young adults reach their maximum potential and become the best with the gifts they are endowed. In general, I simply love working with children. I find great happiness in knowing that I personally helped a child succeed academically. As the oldest of four children, I have always been a leader amongst my siblings and always found myself helping them academically as they grew older.
