My experience includes tutoring both English and Spanish at the college level, student teaching elementary Spanish, teaching high school Spanish through the ITV Program, and working in a bilingual environment for over two years. My education includes study abroad at la Universidad de Costa Rica in San Jose, Costa Rica, and I have years of experience in working and living in a Spanish speaking country.

I am quite fond of children and their amazing desire and ability to learn. I think that education is one of the most important aspect of a child's upbringing and any contribution that I can make would be very gratifying. I think children differ in their learning styles and I am flexible to work with children who are visual learners through diagrams, colors and charts, or with children who are learn through memorization and application. As a recent graduate at the University of Missouri with degrees in International Studies and Spanish, I have obtained the indispensable ability to speak Spanish fluently. In addition to this skill, I have a TEFL certificate, which has involved me going to an adult literacy center for English, where I teach my own native language. I have experience in tutoring children in Spanish, and tutored a young girl, Kristine, in Spanish as a beginning speaker. Tutoring someone in Spanish is not only very fun but also more accessible.
