I believe in starting from the beginning and taking one step at a time, and not moving on to the next step until the current one is understood -- a surprisingly uncommon approach. I am very skilled at figuring out what a student isn't getting, and helping them get it, and I believe every student can get it. I also used positive Peer Culture for helping students to deal with their problems. I slso taught history at the school. I have 8 years experience; I worked for WSI teacher staffing for 3 yrs. and 5 yrs. for the Battle Creek School System in grades K-12 in most subjects
I create a positive atmosphere and help students to be responsible first to themselves and then to their community. I also try to make my students aware of their potiential and guide them in processing information by first understanding the context in which it is used. Al though I have never technically tutored or taught a child writing, I am interested in helping aid a child's learning experience. I graduated with honors from a liberal arts school with a BA in mathematics. During my time there I had also taken many science classes both biological and physical.
