A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is to be supportive and of course helpful; but most importantly, a great listener. children will improve of they are be listened to, not always being taught to.
I worked at a girls scout camp as a counselor. I taught these girls many things about life and about the importance of learning and improving yourself. I have been a counselor at an elementary school and helped in the classroom. Also, I have have been a babysitter for years and helped children with school work, piano, dancing, and much more.

Dream achieve READ

I have always had a passion for teaching . I do not have a degree but I do have 20+ years experience. I think reading and learning should always be FUN so I try to make it fun by echo reading/funny flash cards/. All of my DAR(dream achieve read) students know that reading can take you places
I have been involved with the National Program I Can READ for 2 years I helped k-3rd graders improve reading skills/ I was lucky enough to be staff(and a volunteer) for the boys and girls club for 1 year.I have helped in many local elementary schools with reading. I thoroughly enjoy working with students in any learning atmosphere. I have learned through years of working in both, a volunteer and school atmosphere, that each child has different paces and learning styles. What works for one child may be all wrong for another. Through this each child I feel deserves, not only the time and understanding from someone who cares, but also someone who is willing to put in some added effort and time in to making that child feel confident and comfortable learning.
