I am a hands-on, visual learner, but not everyone is the same. I am able to adapt to each child's specific learning style. If I am explaining something and the student is unable to grasp the concept, I want them to feel completely comfortable asking me to explain it in a different way. I like to be able to know the student a little more personal level, to understand their way of thinking. Reading Comprehension is one of my top subjects!

I tutored kids who were lagging behind the rest of the class at school as well as advanced language learners and helped them get ready for regional language contests. One of my achievements I believe is my excellent work with high school seniors to prepare for centralized testing. But the experience I value most is when my students who were performing about average gradually integrated into the rest of the class. Once families became comfortable with me, I started getting requests to tutor other students that were having difficulty getting what they need out of the classroom.
