I have been teaching science at the secondary level for over 17 years. I have taught chemistry and advanced chemistry, Earth science which includes "GOMA" Geology, Oceanography, Meteorology and Astronomy. I have also taught physics for years and tutor for high school biology exams. While in Virginia 95% of my students passed the Virginia test for Chemistry.
I like to teach hands on as much as I can, but my goal is to teach in a way that helps the learner understand.

A Little Bit About Me...

Over the past four years I have taught a variety of science courses, including biology, AP biology, chemistry, AP chemistry, advanced science middle school elective and a biology methods course at Eastern Michigan University. I typically try to match my teaching style to meet the needs of the particular student(s). I am familiar with many different approaches to teach literacy and math, including some exposure to occupational therapy, emotionally impaired, and LD appoaches to meet certain needs of some students. I enjoy children and helping them reach their potential.
As a Title I Para Educator I am responsible for working with students who need extra support in core academic areas.
