My name is Lisa and I am a former second grade teacher. I tutor a fourth grade boy once a week and would like to add some students to my schedule. I have worked with children from grades k-5 on strengthening their math, spelling, reading and writing skills. Hidden Talents Tutoring

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a degree in computer science, I started tutoring in the Academic Skills Center at UWEC and discovered this was a hidden talent. Motivation, learning style, and goal structure are components I consider when setting up a lesson. As a computer programmer, I tend to be task oriented. I am a very adaptable teacher--I can easily pick up on a student's needs and abilities, and work to their strengths in that way.
