My comments on tutoring Spanish : Taught Spanish for grades 7 - 8 as a substitute teacher at Van Wyck Jr. High School from February to March 2014. Dual citizen of Spain and the United States. Studied at the Universidad Alcala de Henares in Madrid, Spain during the summer of 2007.

I was a substitute teacher for Wappingers Central School district from April 2013 to June 2014. I taught grades 6 - 12 for a variety of subjects including, but not limited to Social Studies, Spanish, English, Music, and Special Education. One particular position I held was that I was a substitute Spanish teacher at Van Wyck Jr. High School teaching grades 7 - 8 from February to March 2014. As a musician, before moving to the area, I was on the Executive Board of American Federation of Musicians Local 238 - 291. I have been playing French horn for 16 years and guitar for 13 years.

A Little Bit About Me...

I attended several schools to achieve my undergraduate degrees, both of which I worked hard to excel at the University level. Attending graduate school at Binghamton University truly prepared me for academia, requiring many research papers and essays as well as honing my knowledge in psychology, the arts, human development, english, and biology. I have tutored, un-officially, all during my college years, forming study groups to better help my peers, as well as having volunteer positions tutoring in math and english.
I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. A Little Bit About Me...

Before I became a teacher in Philadelphia, I tutored in a private tutoring agency in Florida (where I was working on my undergraduate degree). That was my first experience with tutoring and I loved it. I liked being able to give individual attention to a student after he or she had spent all day in the classroom. I especially liked seeing a student's confidence increase after we worked together. For the last ten years, I was a classroom teacher for high school math in Philadelphia.
