During my tenure at Buffalo State College, I volunteered at the Equal Opportunity Program, where my main strength was utilized by actively tutoring students in the art of the english essay.
I was able to tutor these students and advise them in the general format of the essay. We began by procurring a general introduction, or a statement of fact,followed by the body of the essay, descriptive references, and tying it all together with a summary that proves the point that you have set out to make. I tutored many different students, but it was apparent that most students who excelled in math and science, struggled with English writing requirements. I love opening up a child's mind to the love of the written word. The possibility of expressing one's private thoughts and experiences have the power to change lives for the better.
