Hi! My name is Allison. I am originally from Jackson, MS and currently live in Little Rock, AR. I am a student of life and love to learn and teach! Most of my teaching experience has been in general studies with students in the range of 9 yrs to 21 yrs old. I enjoy teaching all subjects as well as study and learning skills to students of all ages. I believe in working with parents and/or students to tailor my services to meet each individual student's needs. My most recent experience was tutoring psychology and spanish at the college level. I do not hold a teaching certificate, but I do love to teach.

I have been in some aspect of education for over 21 years. My experience includes tutoring math and science for Talent Search in 1990, teaching biology, chemistry, physics, physical science, applied math 2, principles of technology I & II, algebra I workshop, general science, life science, earth science and environmental science to grades 7-12 the past 18 years, physical science on a college level, and currently tutor 8-12 grades in science and teach intro to chemistry and environmental science on a college level. I prefer facilitation and discussion teaching styles. These particular styles, to me, help create an environment where the learner is more actively involved. I believe that the more active the learner is, the greater the the impact of learning will become. I deem these teaching styles most effective in the approach to learning.
