I have taught for many years in all levels of secondary school, alternative schools, and tutoring centers.I eat, sleep, and drink tutoring as I tutor every day during the school year and do lots of research to help my kids in whatever academic subject is causing them difficulty. My undergradute years at Kutztown University have truly prepared me to be an educator. I earned a BS in education with a specialization in English. This degree has given me a great "bag of educational tricks." In other words, I am well versed in different teaching strategies for all learning styles. I have taught all genres of literature, as well as, writing techniques and grammar. I have also run an after school tutoring program and taught night school.

I tend to employ a quiet but direct approach to learning. Q and A sessions begin each session. We review the homework and past experiences of the student. I encourage students to write down their concerns and mark the areas of confusion at the time these arise. That way the students don't forget to bring them to my attention.
