I am very hands on. I prefer to assess my students needs and then approach the subject to the area they specifically need help in. I have a lot of patience and am not afraid to spend a lot of time working on one or two things. If I can find a way, I like to make tutoring of studying a game or find easy ways to help my student(s) remember things better. Fun learning in my opinion, is the best way to learn.
I was a tutor in High School to the AVID students, I also volunteer tutored while attending junior college. I have experience helping mostly high school students but I feel comfortable and I am experienced enough to help middle school and elementary school children. I work with all different types of learners such as visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and read write when it comes to students. I make sure that the children and adults will understand the course material and subject matter they are working on of their own academics.

As a accomplished student, I realized I always had help along the help with achieving academic success. From teachers and counselors to my peers and older students. I began to help other with academics as early as the third grade, however I began to commit to tutoring in High School and continue it through-out college, in hopes to eventually becoming a teacher in the future.
I believe anyone can teach a subject, having enough knowledge of a subject allows one to pass it on. However, I feel what many teachers do not do is teach students how to learn. It is in my belief that teaching students to learn enables them to think independently allowing them to become more creative rather than repetitive.
