My comments on tutoring Geometry : I have a lot of knowledge in the subject of Geometry. When I took it in high school, I found that the rules and formulas just clicked for me. I understand Geometry well, and the problems make sense to me.

My teaching style is multi-dimensional, and personally tailored to each specific student. Each student is unique and special. Everyone has a different learning style, which means each person has different need in terms of how they learn. I learn about each student, and take the time to figure out how they take in information. Also how they best understand their course material, and whether their learning style is Visual, Auditory, or Kinesthetic. Perhaps a person's learning style is a combination of these three things. When I teach, I use colors (pens/markers), diagrams, figures, counting figures(ex: colored counting bears), and a writing board to work out/solve math problems. When tutoring in Reading, Spelling, and Vocabulary I use the writing board, flash cards, and stories to help my students feel compforatble with their subjects. A Little Bit About Me...

As a accomplished student, I realized I always had help along the help with achieving academic success. From teachers and counselors to my peers and older students. I began to help other with academics as early as the third grade, however I began to commit to tutoring in High School and continue it through-out college, in hopes to eventually becoming a teacher in the future.
I believe anyone can teach a subject, having enough knowledge of a subject allows one to pass it on. However, I feel what many teachers do not do is teach students how to learn. It is in my belief that teaching students to learn enables them to think independently allowing them to become more creative rather than repetitive. So not only do I teach students the subject, I teach them how to learn and apply it to every other subject.
