Understanding the subject is understanding the student

I myself have add and dyslexia, so I know both ways to teach to kids with mental disabilities and ways to reach without. My teaching style varies from student to student based on how I see they respond.I like to meet with the student before we start scheduling lessons to understand who they are as a person and a student. I am dedicated to creating a curriculum personalized to them.
I have experience with children from my 1 year working at Main Event Entertainment, my 4 months at PuttPutt Fun House, and my current volunteer work teaching Sunday school at my religious Hindu temple. I have also taught some of my peers and some of my neighbors in the past. I am a junior at UHCL, studying Healthcare administration.

My comments on tutoring Elementary Science : Award winning Certified Tutor.

My style is age-appropriate: I modify my approach to accommodate age, learning level, personality and a combination of abilities and interests. My philosophy is that it is the instructor that should make adjustments on behalf of the student, not the other was around. Any good teacher can accommodate any student with the ability to understand people.
Experience includes teaching in public and private schools prior to and following tutor certification. Research for Tutor Certification focused on the study and analysis of adult learning problems stemming from poor learning and education experienced of youth. The study included exchanging past negative experiences for positive ones which substantially increases current abilities and progress. College Algebra students were in the study. My teaching style conforms to the learning style of the individual. Since no two people learn the same it is impossible to tutor the same way. I feel that once I have found a way to spark their interest and how they learn, it is much easier to help them acheive their goals and grasp the material. Many times the main goal is to teach the student how to learn, as many do not understand that function. Once they understand how they learn it becomes fun and easy.
As a late bloomer to my education, I understand the importance of completeing an education at the earliest time. I currently hold a BS degree in business with an emphasis on international markets.
