My comments on tutoring Literature : I have taught American Literature, World Literature, and Introduction to Literature courses for high school seniors (AP Lit) and college freshmen/sophomores.

I prefer to allow the student to attempt to find answers on their own first, and only supply help when a student is clearly struggling to find the answer. I work through each lesson or homework assignment step-by-step with the student, making sure they understand each part before moving on.
Currently a college senior, will be graduating with a B.A. in English in three weeks. Scored a 5 on 5 out of 7 AP classes taken in high school, 2030 on SAT.
