I Help Students Tackle Math With Confidence!

I bring both personality and creativity to math sessions, and I am concerned with the intellectual and emotional well-being of all tutees/students. My comments on tutoring SAT - Math : Passed virtual testing.

My method of tutoring is to work with students where they are and add to their skills, to accomplish the final outcome, preferably an "A" or "B." Some students are visual learners and some are informational learners, or some students combine the two. The potential I see in students is what I try to bring out and have them realize they are capable of going a step further, to reach their goal. The importance of education and the students' continuance of same cannot be stressed enough.

I work for a community college and have done advising, enrollment, testing, phone directory, and student sevices. I have attended many professional development workshops on education.

As a high school student I tutored as part of the National Honor Society for 2 years. I tutored elementary and middle school students in group settings after school. I helped them with all subjects. After graduating from Michigan State University I have been tutoring privately in college level mathematics. I also attended a semester of Medical School and at the end of the semester I was selected to be a teaching assistant for Anatomy. I assisted for a few weeks but then I had to leave medical school due to bereavement reasons. I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in Economics. I received an A in college chemistry and I took college physics. Many people have different teaching skills and techniques. I do not believe any technique to educate a child is better than any other technique. Each child learns differently.
