I spent three Summers working as a volunteer, teaching reading to children of Hungarian refugees in England. I enjoyed working with these young people and they were eager to learn. I am a voracious reader and have been all my life. I am also a writer, I have had articles published in our Diocesan magazine and in the Franciscan Times, I am currently an assistant editor of Franciscan Times. My comments on tutoring Geography : elementary/high school level only

My tutoring strategies: -throughout my experiences, I realized that each person is different and require different teaching methods depending on the individual's preference -I prefer to use study skills that will benefit the individual; I have a variety of strategies depending on the subject as well. some individuals learn well using flashcards, while others prefer repetitive writing for memorization - I have had a couple of ADHD clients that prefer learning games and activities because it helps them stay active, but focused at the same time
