Teacher with gentle touch - Very good at explaining new subj

I try to find the teaching style that is going to work for the student. Are they visual? Do they need to touch to learn? Finding out how to teach them and then helping them learn skills for independent study are just as important as the material.

'Retired' Biologist and Experienced Math Tutor

I believe my job as a tutor is to find a way to help every student learn. I tell all my students if they don't understand the material, then I have to find another way to explain it. I believe anyone can learn math and science when the teaching is tailored to the students learning style.I will take the time to find the best learning style for your student and assign useful homework assignments. I'm permanently a student. Before I joined the Air Force, while in the Air Force, and after I separated I've been school. Coincidentally, I separated to take the opportunity to go back to school. Currently, I'm studying engineering in North Carolina at UNCA and planning to transfer to the University of Colorado premiere engineering school. I know the process of getting into the Air Force (at least the top jobs) and being a college student particularly an engineering student.
