My comments on tutoring Government : I have published a 'Brief History of the United States" and have tutored many high school and college students in government and political science. I have run for and held public office, myself. I am patient and understanding.

I have been teaching college (History, Philosophy, Ethics, writing, reading, social studies) since the early 1980's. I have taught in New York (LaGuardia Community College), Connectiuct (Three Rivers Community College), New Jersey (Mercer County Community College) and Pennsylvania (Bucks County and Montgomery County Community Colleges and ). A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a teacher for nearly 14 years. I have enjoyed elementary school. The children like the way I teach them all their subjects that are needed. Currently a college senior, will be graduating with a B.A. in English in three weeks. Scored a 5 on 5 out of 7 AP classes taken in high school, 2030 on SAT. Currently tutoring one student in reading comprehension and one in biology, both are improving. Willing to work with all sorts of learners, flexible schedule.
I prefer to allow the student to attempt to find answers on their own first, and only supply help when a student is clearly struggling to find the answer. I work through each lesson or homework assignment step-by-step with the student, making sure they understand each part before moving on.
