A Little Bit About Me...

In my classroom one might observe the same material presented in various ways by means of lectures, DVD documentaries, readings, discussions, and Power Point presentations in order to accommodate the students’ different methods of knowledge acquisition.
For the last four years I have been at Cardigan Mountain School, where I taught English, Latin, Homeric Greek, ESL, and Ancient History. I collaborated with the English Dept., providing, via Power Point Lecture Presentations, the historical background to Tennyson’s epic account of the Light Brigade at Balaklava and Shakespeare’s Henry V, and, as part of the eight grade history seminar, I delivered a forty-minute lecture on Hitler and the Holocaust. I believe any child can learn. My passion is to help your child become successful by helping them to read with comprehension, write clearly, compute accurately, think, reason, and use information to solve problems; and allow them to become responsible, independent learners. I believe in the hands-on approach to teaching and learning and use the best practices to select the best learning method.
