My teaching style is based on the student’s learning style. Each child is different and may require different teaching methods to facilitate learning. Some children are more visual and may require more interactive exercises to learn. I do not believe in spoon-feeding information to children but taking the time to ensure that they fully grasped the concept of a problem and are able to think through a solution on their own. When I was in 7th and 8th grade I participated in America Reads where I helped teach elementary children how to read. In college I assisted with my church youth group and led classes approximately once a month for two years. During 2010 I volunteered with a Kindergarten class. I assisted the students with in-class assignments in writing and math. I hold a bachelors degree in accounting with a minor in vocal performance. I also studied German during this time. A Little Bit About Me...

Currently I am a organic chemistry lecturer at a local college but I have always been an advocate of education. I have a PhD in organic chemistry and a BS in chemistry. My background has allowed me to understand a range of topics from math and science to English. I have tutored students for over 11 years and I recently was a mentor to a high school student for two years.
