A Little Bit About Me...

I am in my fourth year of teaching French in a public school. I have 1 class left to finish before receiving a Masters degree in ESOL. I expect to be certified in ESOL in May 2012. I studied abroad for 1 year in college in Paris, France and Fribourg Switzerland. In addition to French, I have some knowledge of German and Spanish.

I believe all students can learn and that it is up to the educator to discover the students' learning styles and then meet their needs. I have certification in both English and Spanish. I have English at this high school level and have years of experience in the literature, grammar, and writing. I taught for 10 years in Mexico to students learning English.
I use a variety of visual, listening, reading, writing and speaking to encourage participation depending on the stuents' strengths and then work of the areas of difficulty. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been an Elementary School Teacher for four consecutive years working with students ranging from Kindergarten through fifth grade. I've taught both third and second grades. Second grade is the year students read A LOT so I have a lot of experience in working with students who are both struggling and excelling with reading. This past school year I had a class of students learning English as their second language so I have experience working with students learning two languages at the same time. Other experiences include Accelerated Reader, after school tutoring with Kindergarten, second grade, and third grade students in both math and reading.
