Taught in Greenwood and Greenville county schools 12 years. I taught reading recovery, resource, and self contained classrooms. Before that I was an ABA line therapist for students with autism. I have a degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Special Education. I am certified as a Elementary and Special Education teacher through the SC state Department of Education. I now own my own tutoring business Shining Stars Tutoring LLC.
I do not ever yell or scare my students into behaving the way I have seen many teachers do. With many students this does not work. I respect my students and in turn they respect me. This creates an atmosphere where students want to behave for me.

As a college student, I wanted to help other struggling students as well as polish my own skills. I decided that tutoring students would be a great job to earn money and achieve some personal goals. I was home-schooled until the sixth grade with my three brothers. I completed junior high at a private school and then graduated Salutatorian from a public high school.
