Have mentored students in a relaxed manner as well as in a strict scheduled manner, can do both. For Math/Sciences I generally use example problems to help learn a core concept then use an application style problem to help the student solidify their understanding, rather than just memorize the process. Strong skills editing a students writing, both creative and technical. I enjoy coding and CAD and have developed a few methods that the student can use to help them debug issues. If we somehow come across something unknown to me, I have a library of reference material and will find the correct answer promptly (and on my own time, not on your dime)

It is NEVER too late to learn, nor right to learn only 1 way

I summarized my basic experience in the Policy Statement. To expand on that, I have over 20 apps on an android tablet that are for clients who need early intervention in the areas of educational subjects, speech/breathing techniques, social and emotional recognition and assistive communication. I have a child safety filter infiltrated into the device so that the clients receive only what is appropriate to their learning. They cannot access the settings on the device, nor the regular web. I honor parents' input on what they think is appropriate for their child.
I utilize kinesthetic learning and encourage parental involvement within the tutoring sessions.

My comments on tutoring Logic : I have taken many logic classes as per my university degree requirements.

I am currently in the middle of completing a BS in Computer Science at Case Western Reserve University. I have taken all my math requirements up to Linear Algebra and excelled in each course, for both math and programming related courses. I have experience tutoring math in High School, mostly while I was in high school, and have tutored my younger sibling and their friends, who are 5 years younger than me, continuously in math as we both grew up. So, I have experience tutoring elementary, middle, and high school children.

I have been a tutor at Phoenix college for one semester. I tutored all math and physics courses. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to help others, but it has also strengthened because I allowed me to remember few simple things that I have seen in the past and have forgotten. It really changed me and my career path is now teaching.

Arabic native speaker I read and write Arabic. No degree on teaching or any certificate, but I have been done many teaching work either with my little sister and teaching her Arabic or other people who seeks to learn Arabic. So I call my self that I'm familier with how the teaching works, how much you need to have information to give it and pass it to them and how much patience you need to be. Beside all of that, I love helping people!

Math was never an issue for me, I was always ahead of the curve in my math scores, and when I got the chance to relate that math ability to economics, it all made sense. Economics is second-nature to me. Economics puts calculus into real-world situations. Breezed through it in high school and first couple years of college, realized it would be an excellent thing for me to major in. Economics is all about logic, and being a logical person, economics always came easy. When you think logically, you are thinking economically. In economic problems, you always assume the agents in the problem will act in their best interest.

The teaching style I have is really a mix of all styles. I was exposed to teaching classes as an undergraduate student. One class really taught me the importance of building a teaching style with all of the learning styles involved. Whether it is visual, kinesthetic, audio, or reading, a good teacher will take the time to incorporate all of these into their style. I think this is so important especially when working with children because a child is at a very impressionable age with great imagination. When all of these styles are incorporated it brings the learner a well rounded approach that allows them to stay engaged and adapt to all styles of learning, making them a well rounded student.

I really enjoy teaching because I believe it enhances both the teachers' and students' lives. If the teacher is enthusiastic about learning, the student can also be excited about learning. My biggest strength in teaching is engaging the student in the topic and creating good "real life" examples of the situation at hand. One big aide I believe in having is a board which is very helpful in science classes such as biology and biochemistry. I hope to make a big impression in my students' lives.
As a recent graduate from Arizona State University, I feel I have become a more well-rounded person. I have earned a BS in biology and am qualified to apply to Medical School. I took a Kaplan course in which I gaineed so much knowledge of how science and math were taught and how to take the MCAT successfully. I have taken many honors classes at Arizona State University including, Physics, Organ ... read more

I absolutely love teaching children of all ages. Every student is capable of success and I do not take the responsibility of reaching a child's absolute maximum lightly. As a teacher, I get to know each and every child by assessing their needs and discovering what learning/teaching style works best for them. Every child in my class walks out the door each and every day knowing they learned something and are able to aquire knowledge and skill to anything they put their mind to. I am devoted and passionate about teaching. My students consider me patient, fair, and caring. I expect great things because I know every child can do great things.

I like teaching one-on-one but I do have classroom experience from substitute teaching. I teach by example and encourage the student to ask as many questions as possible. I typically will not go to another topic until the current one is understood. In terms of teaching math, my style incorporates less use of a calculator and more "thinking". For example, instead of just saying "memorize that anything to the zero power equals 1", I will teach the student WHY that is through examples. I explain to the student ahead of time what is expected in terms of preparation for the session and any work that is assigned.
I am a meteorologist and have worked in many sectors including Radio, TV and Aviation. I currently run an online retail business using the eBay platform. I also have substitute teaching experience on the Middle and High School levels. Through the 1990's I consistently was called ... read more
