Being an undergraduate at WPI and haven taken several Advanced Placement classes in areas outside of math and science, I consider myself a very well rounded student. I was also strongly considered for a MASH program here at the University, or "Math and Science Help", as a Section Leader/Tutor. Going through a lower-middle class urban high school, I was known as that "smart kid" and would often led study groups outside of class to prepare for tests.
I have struggled with the areas I am not proficient in, so I understand what it is to be frustrated and confused. My teaching style is presenting various approaches to the same idea, in hopes that at least one will click, and better yet, each approach with solidify an idea or concept that much more.

After college I became a pension analyst and have studied for several actuarial exams. In my current position one of my responsibilities is to educate new hires or colleges on systems and processes. I enjoy helping other people learn, and I get a sense of satisfaction when they grasp new information. I have tutored students needing help with homework assignments or studying for an exam. I requested that they bring their notes and textbook so that I use them as a reference when teaching. I can either answer specific questions or walk through the material.
