A Little Bit About Me...

As an older student I was very driven to achieve a high level of excellence in my education, hardly ever missing a class. I earned my bachelor's degree from Oregon State University, taking mainly writing and literature. In my master's program I did a lot of writing classes and I focused mainly on publishing, and subjects such as editing and grammar. Instead of taking Spanish, I took statistics. This was very hard and I passed all three math classes after not having any math for many years. I also did some technical writing and creative writing. My computer skills are pretty good also, as I had to learn how to do desk top publishing, and many other computer skills.

I was a career information counselor for Marsing High School, Idaho, for grades 7th through 12th. I've also spent many years writing research papers, business correspondence, business plans, articles for newspapers as a writer, editor and publisher, both as an employee, owner and contract writer and the mother of an autistic child.

I have been teaching at the University level for 31 years, and am currently teaching at both Willamette University and Chemeketa CC in Salem.
