I am currently enrolled at Walden University finishing up my PhD in Clinical Psychology-(Teaching component); I am working on My dissertation for my PhD in Psychology from NorthCentral University. I have been working with online students for over ten years helping them with reading, math and other studies. At times there maybe a need to meet in person if the student is having a hard time grasping the information via internet. I have taken education classes at Northern Kentucky University. At one point, I was considering on being a Art Teacher. I didn't finish with that path, but I did gain much experience with children and knowledge during that time in working with students. I have worked and studied special needs children as well. I still consider going back for a Master's at some point in education. I think this job would be beneficial in my goals, and for my students, and a great learning experience for us both.
I am not overbearing. I am laid back, but at the same time, I make sure that the student learns what he/she needs to learn. I am very patient. I try to respect the student and not make learning seem like a chore. I'm currently working on obtaining my teaching certificate, to go along with my bachelors degree in Social Science. Hopefully, I will be able to go on to receive my Masters in Education.
