I have worked for 20 years in the Awana, youth organization, teaching children from ages 3 through High School. Our memories are largely associative in nature. Therefore, providing connections from new concepts back to well established ones increases our retention and recall. For the past two years, I have been working as an adjunct instructor and tutor in mathematics and computer information systems for a local Community College. This experience has been so fulfilling, that I am diligently pursuing a career change from Information Technology professional to teaching.
