I have worked in the accounting field for the past 12 years. I received my Masters degree in finance a couple years ago and I am currently studying for the CPA exam. Tutoring should be a tool used to complement traditional education. When tutoring there is little help in providing information to the student the same way that the teacher presents it. Tutors may also fall into the trap of simply giving the student the answers. For these reasons I prefer an holistic approach to tutoring.
