I am a very energetic and interactive teacher, moving around the classroom, challenging students with questions, providing many examples and anecdotes to illustrate teaching points. I always try to teach inductively--leading the student to discover the answer on their own, and I encourage them to express their own original thoughts. I use a multisensory approach to teaching, using audio-visual resources and the internet whenever possible. I have recently obtained my BA in English and am educated in all of the current trends and graduated in the top ten percent of my class. During my time spent at Defiance College I had the pleasure of working for the Academic resource center as a writing consultant and tutor.
