I'm very proficient in my job and do my best to make sure my students understand the concepts. Although I'm "fresh out of high school" I'm very advanced for my age, and currently a sophomore at the University of Texas at El Paso. I've been tutoring now for one academic year here at SISD.
I'm a very visual and verbal person. I like to explain things by writing/drawing them out, saying them out loud and creating analogies between things to help students better understand a concept. I worked as a Summer swim instructor for children ages 3-12, at the New Mexico State University Aquatic Center. Instructors had the option of focusing on one learning level, or multiple. I had the opportunity to teach not only all the different age levels, but I also worked with the children participating in the summer camp NMSU provided to for kids ages pre-k through High School. Those lessons were longer and we had the opportunity to be more flexible with the teaching methods.
