My comments on tutoring College Algebra : I tutored college algebra at EPCC for two semesters.

I let students asks all the questions they want if for some reason I don't have the answer I will look it up.
I started working as a computer programmer. Then I became a computer operator/programmer using a main frame computer. I was in charge of all computer operations and I was also assigned programming projects. I also did a great deal of program testing and documentation. I also worked as a tutor at community college.

Through my experience as a tutor I learned that each student is different. I strive to recognize that difference and use it to emphasize learning strategies. I provided customized teaching for each student based on their prior mathematical knowledge and progress. As a tutor my goal is to expand student’s abilities in logical, abstract, and scientific thinking and to promote deeper understanding and farther exploration of the subject. I motivate students to be proactive in their math courses.
