A Little Bit About Me...

My freshman class at BYU had over 400 Chemical Engineering students. Sixteen of us graduated, the rest were 'weeded out'. I am just one class short of a BS in Chemistry, and but one class short of a minor in Physics and Norwegian. Electrical Engineering very much mentored my abilities in math, and I did get a minor in math from Utah State University. I have tutored a number of students in math, chemistry and physics, as well as a few in English literature and grammar.
I love teaching, and find helping others learn and understand very rewarding. My experience has taught me that many, if not most, learning problems are reflective of the teachers incomplete understanding of the subject they are trying to teach. I have always tried to provide the best for my students and inturn expect the best from all students. I have also always tried to provide the most challenging and best education possible with what resources are available.
As a Peace Corps Volunteer, I was sent to assist the Ministerio de Educacion de El Salvador as a Technical Science Laboratory Advisor, in El Salvador, Central America. I also assisted teachers and instructed mid-school and high school students in the utilizatation of scientific laboratory instruments in the general, chemistry, and biology classrooms.
