My comments on tutoring Dyslexia : I have been a special education teacher for 15 years and a special education administrator for 5 years. I have worked with students that have struggle severely with learning. I am very patient and will try many techniques until children learn in their style of learning. I believe the key is to help children find the way that they learn best so they can then use that method to make learning easier moving forward.

I have been a Special Education Teacher for 15 years and an administrator for 5 years. I have taught at both the elementary, intermediate and high school levels. I have worked with students who have been severely cognitively disabled and those that have had multiple attention and behavioral concerns. I am very patient and have been able to create systems to provide structure to keep kids on track. I always want children to know what to expect and have a structure in which to be successful.
I believe my patience and creativity allows children to feel comfortable with their own learning needs. I work with them and help them find their unique learning style. We then build on that style to build their confidence and ability. All children can learn once we find their unique learning "channel".
