Math and Science Tutoring

While obtaining my B.S. I tutored through a community development after school program for a year; in which I helped 4th-8th graders with their math and reading homework. For the past 3 years I have worked as a private math and science tutor helping student from 5th grade up through college level. In the Spring of 2011&2012 I worked as an in-school tutor bringing elementary school students up to grade level in math and reading. I come from China and my major is Japanese and culture in Beloit College. My IBT score is 98 and SAT ‘s math is 750. My total SAT score is 1970 when the full score is 2400. And I taught in China a year ago as a English tutor. So I have experience as a tutor and I know how to teach and how to be a good tutor. My personality is really easy and full of humor. I enjoy teaching greatly. I recognize many students have difficulties with mathematics and I try to relate to them and help them. My early teaching and learning style was to do as many problems that were thrown at me in class or the text. I learned quickly that you need to understand the problem in order to solve problems that aren't set up for you.
