A Little Bit About Me...

I was a full-time sixth grade teacher with the International Baccalaureate program for elementary, middle school students. I created a classroom environment that was conducive to learning, and independent study. Recognizing my capability and talent I was given the opportunity to teach math and computers to high school students and also science and computers to all grade levels. Psychology Professor/Reading Specialist

Over 25 years of teaching experience (all grade levels ~ from preschool to university graduate level courses). I graduated with all A's and B's in high school. My favorite subjects are reading and writing, which I prefer to teach. Strong in history and elementary and middle school math. Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects! I taught all of my children to read at a very young age and I have a technique down that makes reading fun and easy for all children. A great system for boys that don't like to sit still as well as girls. I have a law degree, but most of my experience comes from working with my own kids and spending hundreds of hours volunteering at their schools helping other children. I home schooled my children for 3 years for the middle school years and so I have experience motivating the surly teen who has no motivation to work as well as the young child that just wants to play. I also taught my children and many others how to read at very young ages and have perfected the technique for teaching children math and reading who love to move. One of my children had ADD and so I know how to work well with this issue. I also have a technique for teaching multiplication and math to very young children.
