As and art teacher,a riding instructor, and a person that is interested in special students, I love to help my students learn how to think and solve problems in the style that best suits them. My style may be causual or it may be very structured and organized. In many instances there is more than one way to find the answer to a problem. It is so exciting to see a student find their way through learning problems.
I have taught 15 years in the Missouri public school system. I have taught fine arts, K-12, throughout my career. I have a passion for teaching students of all ages, especially 4th grade and up. My teaching style consists of involving the students as much as possible in the learning process because I am a firm believer that students do learn from one another - especially when one student becomes a mentor or reciprocal teacher for another. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated from Park University with a Bachelors Degree in both Chemistry and Biology. I was the Vice President of the Chemistry Club where I helped students better understand chemistry as well as many other activities. Originally I wanted to go to medical school or pharmacy school, but have since changed my mind. I find myself to be a very driven individual and love to learn.
I think the teacher can determine the student's ability to learn. I believe I could provide a fun and friendly environment where the student would feel comfortable asking questions. I also think that homework or problems are useful.

I enjoy teaching and working with children and watching them learn and grow. I value education and believe that a good education is crucial. Tutors are necessary in order that a child does not fall behind. I am willing to be that tool to help the child succeed in their academics and to make a difference in the child's life.
