My comments on tutoring World History : I hold a Masters in Mathematics and a Bachelors in Molecular Biology. My teaching certification is EC-6 and just added ESL certified.

I believe all children learn at there own style and pace and that we as teachers need to find what works for the child and help them build on their strengths in a positive way.
I am a certified teacher and have been teaching for 8 years in elementary school. I began my teaching career by accident leaving the law enforcement field to work initially part-time as a teacher. However I really enjoyed working with children and found that I was good at it. Over the years it has been nice to hear both parents, teachers, and children comment that I have made a difference in their lives and that I have helped make them the young people that they are shaping to be. Learning through culture and language

Recently graduated, I have taken four years of Spanish. I taught Spanish III and Spanish II last year with classes ranging in size from 31 to 25 as well as having taught French I and French II in the same year. I taught myself a variety of languages mainly Romance languages including French, and Portuguese along with many others still working at fluency.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been working with children my whole school career from a Kinder Helper in fifth grade, a PAL (Peer Assistant Leader) in high school, and to a synchronized swimming coach today. I find history incredibly interesting and want to help others feel the same way about it. It is a story that needs to be shared. I took AP history classes in high school. I am about to walk the stage at the University of the Incarnate Word holding a B.A in History with honors, also with a minor in Psychology. For students who tend to be more tactile, I might have them handle apples if a math problem references apples. If a student is working on a writing assignment, I will offer suggestions (such as marking spelling/grammar/punction mistakes) and help them learn how to correct the errors so they won't continue to make the same errors in the future.
