As a student at University of Cincinnati I am required to read several French novels, theatrical pieces, and poetry for each French class I am enrolled in. I completed a business french sequence which will grant me a business french certificate upon graduation. My comments on tutoring French : 3+ years experience including teaching methods grammar and phonetics.

I prefer as much conversation as possible. The best way to learn a foreign language is to be as immersed as possible. I also think the importance of culture should be stressed and taught. I believe in an interactive environment using the language to learn about foods, people, places, and ideas. The language and culture should be taught as one. I tend to be less rigid of an instructor but I do believe in assessment and personal responsibility. However, knowing the learning style of the student is key to effective teaching.
