My comments on tutoring Study Skills : Study skills are often misunderstood and minimized. But study skills, in reality, are what often make the difference, especially in a very difficult course, in success and failure in the course. I have a battery of study skills that have helped me greatly over the years, and have also helped those I have tutored over the years.

Most all of my experience in life has been in business, Corporate America. However, I have always been a teacher at heart. I spent several years as a student tutor while I was attending college, both in the classroom and during my online courses. I have instructed many of my fellow employees while on the job. Most of this instruction has come in the form of teaching new job responsibilities to seasoned employees, as well as teaching new employees the basics of their jobs.
I believe that a student should have the time to figure things out on their own, but with guidance from their tutor or teacher. I think I should provide a student with all the tools they need, and then through example I will teach a student to figure things out for themselves. Teaching is so rewarding, there's nothing better than helping someone understand something they have struggled with in the past. I am a very patient person who loves to work with people. I also enjoy helping people overcome challenges. For example: when I worked at the accounting office my specialty was dealing with clients who had or have issues with the IRS.
